Apply sparingly by dabbing it on.
Washes off with soap and water.
Here are some of the colours in the eyeshadow/rouge range which are suitable for bruise make-up.
Powder based. Apply with brush.
Colours comprise Bruise 3, Bruise Purple, Yellow Ocher, Oxide Green, Bruise Beige and Lilac in a handy palm size wheel.

Bruise & Grazes (bottom right on image) contains the colours Youth Red, 302, Aubergine & 083.
